Welcome to Willow Springs Counseling, LLC. I provide counseling for adolescents and adults who are struggling with a variety of mental health issues. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, with 16 years of experience in the mental health field. My previous positions include working as an Outpatient Therapist in a community based mental health program, as a Mobile Therapist/Behavioral Specialist Consultant, and as a Mental Health Professional for a Family Based Mental Health Service program. I received my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Temple University, and my undergraduate degree from Penn State University (main campus) in Administration of Justice. I have attended and completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am rostered in Cognitive Processing Therapy. I have received training in Trauma Art Narrative Therapy (TANT) and Sand tray therapy - both techniques that I incorporate into my work. My areas of special interest include trauma, anxiety, depression, mood disorders, anger management, and sexual abuse. Populations currently served are adolescents (16 years old and up), and adults conducting individual, couples, and family therapy sessions. My style is goal-oriented as I strive to assist clients in developing the skills necessary for self-empowerment, and improvement in the overall quality of their lives. I use an eclectic blend of therapeutic modalities to achieve this with my clients
My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.
I promise to be there for you every step of your journey. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life. There are no miracle cures. I cannot promise that your behavior or circumstances will change. I can promise to support you and do my very best to understand you.

Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. Through counseling and treatment, we are able to help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life.
Many individuals can experience symptoms associated with painful and traumatic circumstances. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger post traumatic events. I can help you overcome these symptoms and guide you through the process of grief and healing.
Relationship counseling can be beneficial to couples who are looking to strengthen their emotional connection, in all stages of their relationship. Therapy sessions are held with both parties, by a psychotherapist, in a supportive place to discuss issues and solutions to better strengthen your relationship.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call [1-877-696-6775].

Equine Assisted Psychotherapy (EAP) involves various ground activities that are supervised and developed, in an individualized manner for the client, by a team of EAGALA (Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association) trained professionals. An EAGALA trained team consists of a licensed mental health professional, and a horse professional to ensure safety and to promote the process. The equine therapist observes and processes content learned during EAP sessions (behavioral patterns, thoughts, and emotions) with the client.
The goal of EAP is to assist clients in changing maladaptive behavior patterns, thoughts, and feelings. EAP assists clients in improving their self-esteem and ability to regulate their emotions. EAP can help clients in developing more effective problem-solving skills, thus increasing their sense of empowerment. EAP can help a depressed client to elevate their mood, and it can help an anxious client to relax.
EAP sessions will be conducted at a location in the Lock Haven area. Keep checking back for more information!
